Operating Room Nurse in New Mexico. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties within a Level III Trauma facility. The role requires coordination of patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow. The shift is scheduled during daytime hours, primarily from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, with additional call responsibilities.

  • Position Title: Circulator Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) One vacancy available
  • Shift Schedule: Days, 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Friday; call required, holidays required
  • Schedule: 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 09/07/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), valid RN license, two or more years of OR RN experience, current fingerprints on file as per New Mexico requirements, experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology (GYN), Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, and Podiatry; ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, experience in Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry surgeries.
  • Additional Information: The circulating nurse is responsible for patient safety, documentation, workflow coordination, sterile field support, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards. No floating required. Scrubs are hospital laundered and available. Experience with Medhost and PICIS electronic medical record systems. Split call responsibilities among OR nurses, with shifts of 12 hours, including weekday and weekend shifts. Max of 1 week of requested time off. Candidates must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprint processing, which can take several weeks.
