Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available at a healthcare facility in a major metropolitan area. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care within the operating room environment, supporting surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety and compliance with clinical protocols for a 13-week assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour Day Shift, 07:00 AM 07:30 PM, 36 hours per week, variable days. Holidays and weekends are required. Block scheduling on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of operating room RN experience, recent experience within the last 12 months at an academic medical institution or Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility in a major metropolitan area. Prior travel experience required. No employment gaps over 30 days and no long non-clinical breaks. Valid Florida RN license or compact license must be submitted at the time of application.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong circulating experience in orthopedics (joints/trauma), transplant, general surgery, robotics, trauma, urology, PBS. Scrub experience preferred but not required. Emphasis on orthopedics and general surgery case experience.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years operating room experience and recent trauma level 1 or 2 experience.
- Certifications & Licensure: BLS required; ACLS preferred; recent EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) experience necessary.
- Additional Information: All candidates must pass specialty and EKG exams with at least 80% accuracy. Failure to pass will require remedial training beyond orientation. Unit manager interviews are required.
- Travel & Float: Travel is not required; float rotation is not necessary.
