Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location
This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in an operating room setting within a healthcare facility. The role includes scrubbing and circulating duties for various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating with the surgical team to deliver effective intraoperative care.

Job Details

  • Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly desired.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room with various specialties.
  • Location Requirements: Must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
  • Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Call shifts are 5 in a 6-week period, on weekdays from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including 3 weekend day shifts (Saturday or Sunday) for 24 hours each within the same period.
  • Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, assembling equipment and supplies, ensuring equipment functionality, and serving as a liaison among patients, families, and surgical team members.
