GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Concord, North Carolina.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as an RN in the Operating Room (OR) in Concord, NC. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
Facility Overview: This facility is licensed for 457 beds and recognized as a Level 3 Trauma Center, a Stroke Center of Excellence, a Bariatric Center of Excellence, and a Chest Pain Center. The radius rule requires that travelers' permanent addresses be at least 50 miles outside of the home unit.
Department Information: The OR department features 19 suites with 17 rooms blocked, averaging 50 cases per day. Minimum experience required is 5 years, and first-time travelers will not be accepted.
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: The surgery specialties include Trauma, Ortho Trauma, Ortho Total Joints, Spine, Hearts, MI Vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics.
Required Licenses and Certifications: Candidates must possess a BLS certification and a valid NC RN license. A CNOR certification is preferred but not required.
Skills Required: Experience circulating in cases such as Trauma, Ortho Trauma, Ortho Total Joints, Spine, Hearts, MI Vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics is essential. For night shift contracts, Charge RN experience and scrubbing proficiency are required. Candidates should be flexible, self-driven, and motivated team players, capable of accommodating case requests at any time.
Support Within the Department: The department is supported by Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers.
Technology/Equipment: The facility uses EMR: EPIC and has a variety of unit-specific equipment.
Scheduling: Weekend rotation is every 4th weekend, with holiday expectations that travelers will work 75% of holidays. Call is required, averaging 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule, with a 45-minute response time. Shift times may vary based on needs.
Other Notes: Scrub colors are provided, and parking is free. The department culture is supportive and collaborative.
