Join a leading acute-care hospital as an RN in the Operating Room (OR) department. Department Information:

• 19 OR suites with 17 rooms blocked
• Average of 50 cases per day
• Minimum of 5 years of experience required
• First-time travelers will not be accepted

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Surgery specialties include Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, Plastics

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• BLS
• NC RN license
• CNOR preferred but not required

Skills Required:

• Experience circulating in various surgical cases including Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, Plastics
• Charge RN experience and scrubbing proficiency preferred
• Flexibility and a self-driven attitude are essential

Support within the Department:

• Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, Tech Engineers

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every 4th weekend
• Call required: Average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
