Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in the Adult Operating Room at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including general surgery, surgical oncology, gynecology, orthopedics, neuro, ENT, plastics, burn, urology, and podiatry. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Job Details:
- Position Description: Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in a 22-bed adult OR unit with in-house staffing. Procedures performed include general surgery, surgical oncology, gynecology, orthopedics, neuro, ENT, plastics, burn, urology, and podiatry. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and team coordination.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Graduation from an accredited nursing program and active nursing license. No minimum years of nursing experience required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Duration from 10/05/2026 to 01/04/2027.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be adaptable, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a high-volume surgical setting. Robot-assisted procedures are common in this unit, and prior experience with robotic surgery is preferred.
