Job Summary:
Chico, California The Registered Nurse First Assistant is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for providing direct patient care as a first assistant to surgeons in the perioperative setting. The role involves practicing an expanded scope of perioperative nursing within the Operating Room and Labor and Delivery Suite, under the supervision of the surgeon. The position requires credentialing through the organizations medical staff office, with a minimum processing time of six to eight weeks.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR); current CPR certification; current ACLS recognition.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in operating room first assistance or related perioperative nursing roles.
  • Additional Information: The organization only accepts agency staff who are W-2 employees of their respective agency. Med/Surg and Critical Care Registered Nurse positions are required to float as needed. Credentialing through the organizations medical staff office is mandatory, with an estimated processing time of 6 to 8 weeks.
