Job Summary
Operating Room (First Assistant) specializing in complex surgical procedures. The position supports scrub and circulating responsibilities, including robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedic/spine, vascular, urology, gynecology, transplant, and cardiovascular procedures.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of scrub and circulating experience; at least 1 year of experience in both scrubbing and circulating in the operating room; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) certification; valid California or compact nursing license in hand at submission.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: On-call coverage is required, including an estimated 8 call days during a 6-week schedule. Call responsibilities include weekday kidney call from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weekend kidney call from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., weekend general call from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and holiday general call from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; kidney call is not assigned on holidays. The role requires proficiency in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedic/spine, vascular, urology, gynecology, transplant, and cardiovascular procedures. Transplant and cardiovascular hard-stop experience is required. Three 12-hour shifts may be accepted in place of four 10-hour shifts.
