Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift contract requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week across 3 days per week
• No on-call requirements
• Every other weekend and every other holiday shift required
• May float to other Carle Health system hospitals including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for an assigned group of oncology patients
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
• Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment longer than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health facility
