General Information

Tell us about the unit(s): This is an outpatient clinic.

• Number of Beds – 4 exam rooms
• Number of Staff – 2 RN’s
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 to 2 RN’s, Director is also an RN, 1 Gamma Knife RN, 2 front office team members, 2 physicists, 3 MD’s.
  • Night Shift – Closed
• Patient Ratios – 1-2 patients per RN. - Estimated ratios, not guaranteed
• Type of equipment – Electronic documentation, Meditech and Mosaic
• EMR – Meditech and Mosaic

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current Radiation Oncology RN acute care experience
• BLS
• OCN Certification, Oncology Certified RN

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Radiation Oncology Experience
• Prior Meditech experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Patient care, symptom management and education of patients on radiation therapy
• Radiation side effects such as skin changes and fatigue
