Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 4 weekend days required per schedule period (Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Oncology unit with patient ratios of 5–6:1
  • Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments in accordance with unit protocols
  • Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and patient record management
  • Participate in Bedside Shift Report, Hourly Safety Rounds, and maintain Whiteboards as part of patient experience standards
  • Communicate with staff, physicians, and patients using iMobile phones
  • Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of Oncology or Medical/Surgical nursing experience
  • Experience with chemotherapy administration
  • Ability to meet scheduling requirements including weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Compliance with facility dress code: Navy Blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
  • Background in Medical/Surgical nursing in addition to Oncology
  • Familiarity with patient experience initiatives such as Key Words and Hourly Rounding
