Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg - Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and AL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work on a 18-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit caring for oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow patients
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Uses computer charting, IV pumps, vital sign machines, and other basic medical equipment
• Documents in EPIC
• Night shift, 3x12s, 18:45-07:15
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (AL or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS, both AHA-issued only (American Red Cross not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Acute care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide compassionate, patient-oriented care to an oncology and med/surg patient population
• Navy scrubs required; only scrubs and scrub jackets permitted as attire
• Candidates must be responsible, dependable, compassionate, hardworking, and kind
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
