Description

American Traveler is seeking an Oncology Chemo Certified RN for a day-shift infusion position requiring oncology experience and an ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider card.

Details

  • Work in the Oncology Chemo Certified unit of a critical access, Level III trauma teaching hospital
  • Variable Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 9-hour shifts (7:00-16:00)
  • Caseload of 6-7 patients per shift with no formal ratios
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Float to other units and sister facilities based on skill set and staffing needs
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

Requirements

  • Active OR RN license required (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
  • ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider card required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, in a comparable specialty/setting, required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Provide direct oncology infusion nursing care to patients
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted up front; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
  • Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Any color scrubs permitted
