Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Oncology Infusion (Chemo) position requiring chemotherapy certification and 3+ years of experience.

Details

  • Work in the 4W Oncology Infusion (Chemo) unit of an acute care hospital
  • Administer IV chemotherapy drugs and other intravenous therapies
  • Provide pre- and post-treatment patient assessments and care
  • Access ports or peripheral IV sites for lab draws and IV therapies
  • Monitor patients during treatment and respond to side effects or reactions per protocol
  • Uses Cerner EMR and Intellidose (TxM) charting systems
  • Schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30am-5pm and Friday 7am-Noon
  • 13-week assignment with day shift hours

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
  • Chemotherapy certification required
  • Prior chemotherapy infusion experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) preferred
  • BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

  • Scrub colors accepted include solid Ceil Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy/Wine, and Pewter Gray
  • Must complete CBC, CMP, Urinalysis, and Reticulocyte Count lab testing prior to start
  • Flexibility with scheduling may be requested based on patient treatment needs
  • Local candidates accepted if residing 50 miles or more from the facility
