Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring current ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification and at least 1 year of chemo experience.

Details

  • Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting for adult patients
  • 4x10-hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours weekly
  • Administers PO and SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered
  • Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Provides phone triage and coordinates patient follow-up care

Requirements

  • Active RN License (Standard or Compact/eNLC) required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA
  • ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
  • Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion and chemotherapy nursing experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Delivers chemotherapy-related patient and family education
  • Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with physicians and medical personnel
  • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and notes changes in physician orders
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Facility strictly enforces credentialing and onboarding deadlines with no push start dates allowed
  • Returning workers limited to one extension up to 26 weeks total, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
  • 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or assignment end
