Registered Nurse – Oncology / Chemotherapy Certified

FSN is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with chemotherapy certification to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver specialized nursing care to oncology patients, ensuring the safe administration of chemotherapy and related treatments, while providing emotional and educational support to patients and their families. Collaborating closely with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key part in enhancing patient outcomes and experiences during their cancer journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other oncology treatments following strict protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor patients proactively for adverse reactions, respond swiftly to complications or emergencies, and provide appropriate interventions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, focusing on symptom management, treatment responses, and overall well-being.
• Develop and continually update individualized care plans tailored to each oncology patient’s unique needs.
• Educate patients and families about treatment regimens, medication administration, potential side effects, and safety precautions to promote understanding and adherence.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with oncologists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care.
• Adhere to strict safety procedures when handling hazardous medications, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide emotional support, advocacy, and reassurance to patients and their families throughout treatment and recovery phases.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology nursing within a hospital or clinical setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Night Shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
