Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Oncology Chemotherapy – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Every other weekend required. Block scheduling required. Expected patient ratio 1:4. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs.

Highlights:

  • 91-day travel assignment at a 418-bed short-term acute care facility
  • Work with oncology patients including those receiving chemotherapy, biotherapy, and specialized treatments
  • Experience with advanced oncology care including Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy patients preferred
  • Epic charting system utilized; 40 hours of orientation provided
  • Opportunity to work at multiple facilities within the health system as needed
  • Free parking available on-site

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
  • ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification required (ONS/ONCC)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proficiency in chemotherapy administration (IV, continuous infusion, oral, and monitoring)
  • Experience with blood product administration, port management, and central line care
  • Knowledge of oncology emergencies including ATLS, anaphylaxis, extravasation, hemorrhage, sepsis, and spinal cord compression
  • Competency in managing oncology-related symptoms and complications
  • Must have reliable personal vehicle for this assignment
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
