Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations for students referred through the special education process. Assess fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-help, adaptive, and functional skills that impact educational performance. Review educational records, classroom performance, medical information, and developmental histories. Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and recommendations. Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services. Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings and special education team meetings. Develop measurable occupational therapy goals and objectives. Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed. Ensure services are delivered in compliance with applicable regulations and district requirements. Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services in individual, small-group, and classroom settings. Develop interventions that address fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, handwriting skills, sensory processing needs, self-care activities, classroom participation, functional mobility, and adaptive equipment utilization. Implement evidence-based therapy practices designed to improve educational access and participation. Maintain accurate service logs, treatment notes, and progress documentation. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, social workers, and administrators. Provide recommendations regarding accommodations, adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and sensory supports. Train school personnel and families regarding occupational therapy strategies and student needs. Support the implementation of interventions across educational environments. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, assessments, and intervention methodologies. Ability to evaluate student needs and develop individualized intervention plans. Excellent collaboration and consultation abilities. Strong organizational and case-management skills.
