Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an outpatient rehabilitation role requiring active OT experience and BLS certification.

Details

  • Outpatient rehabilitation setting with some acute care exposure
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6 PM
  • One weekend per month (Saturday) required
  • No on-call requirements
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required (License required if applicable)
  • Active BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Prior OT experience required, primarily outpatient with some acute care
  • Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to Occupational Therapy required for consideration
  • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Delegate responsibilities to Occupational Therapist Assistants and Aides
  • Perform patient evaluations including skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive assessments
  • Develop and update goal-specific treatment plans in coordination with physician orders
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on conditions, treatment rationale, and care plans
  • Provide supervision for Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students per regulatory standards
  • Business casual dress code
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to be considered for this position
  • No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
