We have an urgent need for an Occupational Therapist in Tucson, AZ for a 13-week travel contract. This is a great opportunity for an OT looking for a consistent Monday-through-week style 5x8 day schedule, guaranteed full-time hours, and the chance to work within an inpatient rehabilitation environment.
Candidates who are already licensed in Arizona and available to start quickly will receive priority consideration.
Position: Occupational Therapist
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Contract: 13 weeks
Start: ASAP
Current projected start date: October 4, 2026
Start date may be adjusted depending on candidate availability
Schedule: 5x8-hour day shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Exact shift times will be finalized during the interview/offer process
Weekend availability is required

As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll work directly with patients who need help regaining the skills required for everyday activities following illness, injury, surgery, or other medical conditions.
Your responsibilities may include:
Evaluating patients' functional abilities and limitations
Developing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
Helping patients improve independence with activities of daily living
Providing therapeutic interventions based on patient goals
Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as appropriate
Educating patients and families regarding treatment plans and safe discharge
Collaborating with Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, nursing staff, physicians, case management, and other members of the rehabilitation team
Accurately documenting evaluations, treatments, goals, and patient progress
Supporting safe transitions across different levels of care
Maintaining compliance with facility, state, and professional standards
We’re looking for an OT who can step into the assignment confidently and contribute quickly.
Strong candidates will have:
Current or eligible Occupational Therapist licensure
Arizona OT license strongly preferred
Candidates already licensed and ready to begin in Arizona will be prioritized
Relevant Occupational Therapy experience
Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
Experience collaborating within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
Ability to manage a full patient caseload effectively
Strong communication and documentation skills
Flexibility to participate in required weekend coverage
Ability to commit to the full 13-week assignment
