Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to assess functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily living and work-related activities
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Texas
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to meet a 32-hour weekly schedule across 5 days
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care setting
- Experience with geriatric patient populations
- Strong documentation and electronic health record skills
