    Key Responsibilities
    • Plan, organize, develop, administer, direct, and supervise occupational therapy treatment in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines
    • Assess patients' level of functioning upon physician orders and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient/family goals
    • Participate in the interdisciplinary team process, including team conferences, and collaborate with other team members to provide optimal patient care
    • Coordinate discharge planning for each patient, including placement recommendations, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment issuance and training
    • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT/COTA students in the application of occupational therapy theory and techniques; assist with new staff orientation
    • Complete all required documentation including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with department policy and within defined timeframes
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure
    • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to applicable federal, state, and local OT practice standards and regulations
    • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
    • Strong documentation skills with the ability to complete progress notes and clinical records within required timeframes
    • Commitment to patient and employee safety practices, including safe patient handling and infection control protocols
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience supervising COTAs, OT students, or other clinical staff
    • Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration and participation in care conferences
    • Background in discharge planning, including adaptive equipment recommendations and caregiver training
