Shift Details:- Shift: 8:00A - 5:00P
- • Contract length: 13 weeks
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Duties & Responsibilities:- Provide occupational therapy services to support students' academic participation and daily functional skills.
- Assess students' abilities related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom activities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and educational goals.
- Provide interventions to improve coordination, motor skills, independence, and participation in school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student development and learning outcomes.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies to improve student success.
- Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
- Participate in student support meetings, evaluations, and individualized education planning.
- Follow school policies, safety guidelines, and applicable professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in applicable state
- American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Providers
- 1+ years' experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a hospital setting.
- Additional certifications may be required.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements.
