    Occupational Therapist I, Inpatient

    Location

    Boston, MA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 8-hour days with potential for occasional weekend coverage

    Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities within an acute inpatient care setting
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, adjusting as needed to reflect patient progress
    • Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to deliver comprehensive patient care
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes
    • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Massachusetts
    • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy internship or apprenticeship program
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 1–2 years of clinical occupational therapy experience preferred
    • Prior experience in an acute inpatient care environment
