Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | 10-Hour Shifts (4 days/week) or 8.5-Hour Rotating Shifts | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Weekend Rotation Required (2–3 weekends per month)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services in an inpatient acute care setting on a dedicated rehabilitation unit
- Manage a daily caseload of 8–10 patients, delivering evaluations and individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary therapy team including PTs, SLPs, PTAs, and COTAs
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
- Participate in weekend rotation coverage (Saturdays and Sundays, 2–3 weekends per month)
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Acute care experience is required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Must obtain Alaska state fingerprint clearance and pass a state background check prior to or in provisional status at start
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience in an acute care or hospital-based setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
