    Key Responsibilities
    • Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive status.
    • Develop goal-specific treatment regimens based on assessment data and patient tolerance, in accordance with physician orders and occupational therapy standards.
    • Submit and maintain written treatment plans coordinated with the physician, updating the plan of care as patient status changes.
    • Devise frequency- and duration-specific treatment schedules in coordination with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff.
    • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on their condition, prognosis, treatment rationale, and interventions including rest, exercise, and modalities.
    • Provide supervision to Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Michigan Occupational Therapist License (LARA verified, Active status required).
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
    • Current Skills Checklist pertinent to Occupational Therapy (completed within the last year).
    • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
    • Demonstrated occupational therapy clinical experience, primarily in an outpatient setting.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in acute care settings in addition to outpatient occupational therapy.
    • Prior experience supervising Occupational Therapist Assistants or therapy students.
