Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will:
- Assess clients’ physical, developmental, and psychosocial functions (e.g., motor, cognitive, perceptual, behavioral, physical capacities) using standardized and non-standardized tools.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement individual or group occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Determine appropriate therapy techniques, sequence, and coordinate treatment plans with other programs for overall client benefit.
- Provide consultation with clients, healthcare professionals, and external parties regarding progress, treatment recommendations, and integration with other programs.
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Assess and locate suitable adaptive equipment for clients.
- Document evaluations, observations, assessments, treatment plans, and revisions.
- Requisition necessary supplies and equipment, maintain records, and stay current on occupational therapy best practices through reading, in-service training, and mandated education.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
