We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a hospital (altru) in Grand Forks, ND and provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients across the occupational therapy caseload. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills in evaluating and treating individuals with functional deficits related to daily living, work, and meaningful activities. Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and occupational performance deficits through standardized and clinical assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, cognitive function, and sensory processing
• Recommend and train patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PT, SLP, nursing, and physicians to coordinate patient care
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe discharge planning
✅ Requirements
• Active ND OT license
• BLS/BCLS, CHT (preferred), NBCOT (OTR/L), ND State OT License certifications
• 2+ years of Occupational Therapist (OT) experience
• Current NBCOT certification (OTR) required
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Strong knowledge of ADL training, splinting, and adaptive equipment across diverse patient populations
Pay
Pay range: $3,320 to $3,427 per week.
Travel Occupational OT package: up to $3,427/week (40 hours) = $54/hour taxable + up to $1,267/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules.
Local package: $83/hour fully taxable ($3,320/week for 40 hours).
Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
