We are seeking an experienced Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a home health agency in Missoula, MT. In this role, you will deliver patient-centered occupational therapy services within the home setting, helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of daily living. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support each patient's functional goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities and home environments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on restoring or improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs
• Provide therapeutic interventions targeting fine motor skills, cognitive function, strength, and coordination
• Recommend and train patients and caregivers on the use of adaptive equipment and home modifications to promote safety and independence
• Monitor and document patient progress, updating care plans as clinically indicated
• Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs and strategies to support ongoing recovery
• Communicate and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the home health care team to ensure continuity of care
✅ Requirements
• Active MT OT license
• BLS/BCLS certification
• 2+ years of Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) experience
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program; OTR/L credential required
• Strong knowledge of home health regulatory requirements, including OASIS documentation
• Excellent communication, time management, and patient education skills
Pay
Pay range: $2,880 to $3,023 per week.
Travel OT package: up to $3,023/week (40 hours) = $39/hour taxable + up to $1,463/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules.
Local package: $72/hour fully taxable ($2,880/week for 40 hours).
Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
