Description:
Experienced inpatient acute rehabilitation occupational therapist needed.
Candidates must have neuro experience.
Responsibilities include treating a complex patient population.
The patient demographic includes those with stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury.
Therapists also work with patients undergoing cancer rehabilitation and dealing with complex orthopedic conditions.
The rehabilitation team collaborates with physical therapists and speech-language pathologists.
The daily patient census will vary from 7 to 10 patients.
Candidates must have experience with adaptive equipment and rehabilitation assessments.
Skills should include cognitive assessment, discharge planning, and patient education.
The role requires knowledge of functional capacity evaluations and safety/injury prevention techniques.
Therapists will provide care focused on improving upper and lower extremity function.
All candidates must complete a thorough work history verification process covering the past 7 years.
