Must-Have:
Pediatric therapy experience in an outpatient setting.
Experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic.
Description:
The role involves providing occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.
Therapists can treat 8-9 patients per day, depending on shift length.
Common diagnoses include autism, developmental delays, rare genetic syndromes, and cerebral palsy.
Other patient concerns may involve motor delays, coordination disorders, sensory processing disorders, behavioral issues, ADHD, ODD, anxiety, and emotional regulation issues.
Collaboration with a supportive team including an OT manager and rehab aides is essential.
Treatment sessions will typically be conducted in 1-hour blocks.
Scrubs or professional attire without holes or rips is required, along with closed-toed shoes.
There are no weekend or holiday requirements.
A week of orientation/shadowing will be offered to familiarize with scheduling pathways, documentation, and patient demographics.
The cancellation policy permits 4 shifts within the 13-week period.
