If the traveler does not already have the MOAB certification, they will receive a 4-hour de-escalation course during their first week. If they do not pass, their contract may be subject to cancellation. Individuals within 100 miles are not eligible. COVID vaccination is optional, and documentation of vaccination or declination must be provided. Home Health travelers will be required to undergo a second set of fingerprints upon arrival for background checks, in case there are children in homes. Patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics. The assigned caseload is 8-12 patients. No weekend coverage is required. Travelers must have national certifications including MOAB, NBCOT, NM license, and BLS. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs may occur. Pending state licenses will be accepted. Pre-approved time off that exceeds 7 days requires approval. Guaranteed hours are 40 hours per week, with the facility allowed to cancel shifts up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment. Mileage is reimbursed at the federal IRS standard mileage rate for travel within a 35-mile radius. This position involves working primarily with adults and a variety of diagnoses and trauma events. Productivity standards require achieving 27 points for a 40-hour week. Additional skills in adaptive equipment, assessments, rehabilitation, safety, and patient/family education are preferable. Priority will be given to candidates who possess required certifications and relevant work experience.
