Certifications: Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Must-Have: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Occupational Therapy.
Description:
Provides full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy care.
May include some work at a local Long Term Care facility.
Treats all patient age ranges and diagnoses within the occupational therapy scope of practice.
Includes home visits and collaboration with medical providers.
Requires strong didactic skills due to direct access privilege for occupational therapy.
Incorporates evidence-based medicine into patient plans of care.
Exemplifies professional conduct, patient care ethics, and respect for cultural diversity.
Modifies patient care plans appropriately using age-specific and patient-specific considerations.
Supports the mission statement Working Together to Achieve Excellent Health.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret occupational therapy periodicals and medical literature.
Ability to compose patient care documentation and medical correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff, peers, and administrative personnel.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Periodic self-assessment required.

Private housing is not provided.
All housing consists of shared units.
No pets allowed.
Documentation of completed COVID vaccinations is required.
Immunization requirements include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, T-Dap, and Polio or titers and/or historical shot records.
Candidates must also provide a copy of a photo ID, Social Security card, professional license, and background check results.
All candidates must have completed a 10-panel drug screen within the last 90 days.
