Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 14-week assignment. The ideal candidate will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to improve independence, functional performance, and overall quality of life.
This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while helping individuals regain the skills needed for daily living and successful community participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and assess physical, cognitive, sensory, and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional mobility.
- Train patients in adaptive techniques and the use of assistive devices.
- Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy programs and home exercises.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) License required.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current BLS Certification preferred.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or outpatient experience preferred.
