Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00), 40 hours per week. Weekend coverage required approximately 4 days per month. Block scheduling required. Assignment duration is 13 weeks.

Highlights:
  • Large acute care teaching hospital with nearly 500 beds and multiple accredited programs
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
  • Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
  • Daily census of approximately 165 patients across adult and geriatric populations
  • Floating between units required; opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience
  • Complimentary parking provided
Requirements:
  • Active Oregon state Occupational Therapy license required at time of submission
  • Current BLS certification and NBCOT certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care hospital experience required (hard stop requirement)
  • Large acute care hospital employment background strongly preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Competencies in acute care assessment, discharge planning, patient/family education, plan of care development, home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and safety and injury prevention
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
