Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist – Portland, OR 97225
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00), 40 hours per week. Weekend coverage required approximately 4 days per month. Block scheduling required. Assignment duration is 13 weeks.
Highlights:- Large acute care teaching hospital with nearly 500 beds and multiple accredited programs
- Collaborative interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Daily census of approximately 165 patients across adult and geriatric populations
- Floating between units required; opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience

Requirements:- Active Oregon state Occupational Therapy license required at time of submission
- Current BLS certification and NBCOT certification required
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care hospital experience required (hard stop requirement)
- Large acute care hospital employment background strongly preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Competencies in acute care assessment, discharge planning, patient/family education, plan of care development, home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and safety and injury prevention
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
