We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a hospital in Bethel, AK and provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients across a diverse caseload. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills in evaluating and treating functional deficits to help patients regain independence in daily living and meaningful activities. Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients' functional abilities, daily living skills, and occupational performance to establish individualized treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, coordination, and upper extremity function
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, compensatory strategies, and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Recommend and fit adaptive equipment or assistive devices to promote patient independence and safety
• Participate in discharge planning and community resource referrals to support patients' transition to home or next level of care
✅ Requirements
• Active AK OT license
• NBCOT, BLS certifications
• 2+ years of Occupational Therapist experience
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a Master's or Doctoral degree
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Pay
Pay range: $2,112 to $2,182 per week.
Travel Occupational OT package: up to $2,182/week (32 hours) = $40/hour taxable + up to $902/week in travel reimbursements if eligible under IRS tax-home and expense rules.
Local package: $66/hour fully taxable ($2,112/week for 32 hours).
Overtime paid in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour laws and the assignment agreement. Actual compensation varies based on hours worked, assignment terms and travel reimbursement eligibility.
