Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ years of OT experience and LTC or Rehab background.

Details

  • Long Term Care setting focused on cognitive and ADL functioning disorders
  • Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active OT license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1+ years of OT experience required
  • LTC or Rehab setting experience required
  • New grads considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience
  • One reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
  • Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
  • Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
  • Communicate patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and healthcare team members
  • Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain accurate treatment records
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
  • Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed
  • Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts and code of ethics
  • No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
