Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ year of OT experience and prior LTC or Rehab experience.

Details

• Long term care facility setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Start time must be before 6AM and no later than 10AM, consistent and communicated with the DOR
• No weekend requirements
• On-call schedule to be determined by facility
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• LTC, SNF, or Rehab setting experience required
• New grads considered if they completed a Level II fieldwork experience
• Resume required for consideration
• Skills checklist within 1 year required for consideration
• 1 reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
• Assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans according to regulatory and clinical standards
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and health team members on patient progress and treatment plans
• Complete discharge summaries and maintain accurate treatment documentation in the electronic system
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences and utilization reviews
• Attend facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehab aides, and/or students
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice standards and codes of ethics
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
