Requirements

  • Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 1+ years of OT experience required
  • LTC or Rehab setting experience required
  • New grads considered if Level II fieldwork experience is completed
  • 1 reference required at time of consideration
  • Skills checklist within 1 year required

Additional Information

  • Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
  • Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized, evidence-based assessments
  • Provide rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device use
  • Document treatment progress, minutes, and discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical standards
  • Communicate with interdisciplinary team regarding patient care and outcomes
  • Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and required facility trainings
  • Supervise occupational therapy assistants, aides, and/or students as needed
  • Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested during assignment
