Occupational Therapist - Cognitive and ADL Physical Functioning Focus

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will effectively screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or Activities of Daily Living (ADL) physical functioning disorders. The role involves developing appropriate plans of care adhering to all regulatory and clinical practice standards, utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practices. This position requires the provision of rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions tailored to individual patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders.
  • Implement various rehabilitation methods, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, and the use of assistive devices.
  • Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on evaluations.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient progress and barriers to treatment.
  • Document all services and maintain patient records in accordance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and other meetings as required.
  • Supervise occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
  • Adhere to NBCOT and state practice act requirements and ethical standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation settings.
  • Active Occupational Therapist License in Oklahoma.
  • New Graduates may be considered if they have Level II fieldwork experience.

This is a Days 8-hour shift position.

This position is based in Oklahoma.
