Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit requiring 2+ years of inpatient rehab or hospital experience.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Two weekend shifts per month required, with a weekday off in exchange
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Floating required as needed per facility policy
• Caseload includes neuro and ortho evaluations and treatments in inpatient rehab, as well as acute evaluations and treatments in ortho, tele, and ICU settings

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license required (no temporary license accepted); license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Inpatient rehab and/or acute hospital experience required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• NDT or brain injury certification preferred

Additional Information

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for neuro and ortho patient populations
• Adhere to facility scrub color requirements (sage green/olive top, black pants, sage green jacket, white or black undershirt only)
• Maintain neat and clean grooming standards including hair, nails, and facial hair
• Cover visible tattoos when feasible and avoid visible piercings other than ears
• No local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
