Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit, requiring 2 years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit staffed by a multidisciplinary rehab team of PT, OT, ST, aides, and clerical staff
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Patient caseload of approximately 1:4, with 4 IRF patients per day per therapist
• Equipment includes lift equipment, adaptive devices, exercise equipment, and an outdoor training patio
• Charting completed in Meditech, transitioning to Expanse in October 2026
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active Florida OT license (if applicable)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform evaluations, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, ADLs, and functional task training
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver training and education
• Flexible and adaptable candidates who can work well independently are preferred
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays is preferred
• Gray or black scrubs required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
