Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position located in Hawaii. This role involves evaluating and treating individuals within an inpatient setting, focusing on restoring and maintaining patients' functional capabilities. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, perform patient assessments, and contribute to staff education and development.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii State Occupational Therapist license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), degree in Occupational Therapy, and experience in inpatient settings with no minimum years specified
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with activities of daily living (ADL), sensory integration, orthotic fitting, and psychosocial functioning is advantageous
  • Additional Information: The Occupational Therapist will provide direct patient treatment based on physician referrals, conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, and collaborate with nursing and therapy staff. The position involves participating in departmental planning, staff training, community engagement, and maintaining comprehensive treatment documentation. The role may require driving patients in hospital vehicles and active participation in emergency procedures and safety protocols.
