Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) The organization is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient team at a healthcare facility. The role involves providing individualized occupational therapy treatment to patients across various diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, and general medical conditions, in a fast-paced acute care environment. The therapist will evaluate patient needs, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy, licensure as an Occupational Therapist, BLS Certification, minimum 2 years of experience, location within 80 miles of the facility, and the ability to start on 10/19/2026.
  • Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday generally 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with one weekend per month.
  • The position involves evaluating and treating patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing access to specialized equipment such as UE Bioness and Dynavision, and completing electronic documentation using the EPIC system.
  • The occupational therapist must possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and adaptability to a high-volume caseload.
  • The role may include supervising certified occupational therapist assistants, aides, and students.
  • Candidates must note if they have previously worked with the organization and adhere to the dress code of business casual.
  • Orientation involves specific training over 1-2 days for computer documentation and additional departmental training.
