Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring 2+ years of recent experience and proficiency in HCHB.

Details

  • Home Health setting serving a geriatric patient population
  • Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day
  • No on-call requirement, though rotation may be discussed during interview
  • Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
  • EMR system used is HCHB (Homecare Homebase)

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapy license required if applicable, must be in-hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience required
  • OASIS experience required for completing Start of Care (SOC)
  • Proficiency in HCHB charting system required
  • BLS certification required, NBCOT preferred
  • Active driver's license and personal transportation required
  • First-time travelers will not be considered

Additional Information

  • Timely documentation and communication with the care team is mandatory
  • Dress code includes scrubs of any color; jeans are not permitted
  • Cell phone not provided; iPad provided for work use
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
  • Orientation includes billable training modules completed on Mondays
  • Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
  • Travel pairs accepted, though each traveler is assigned an individual territory and must have their own transportation
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
  • Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
