Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) Mission Bay, CA. This outpatient rehabilitation role involves providing specialized occupational therapy services to adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, acute fractures, nerve injuries, and other hand/upper extremity conditions. The position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to support interdisciplinary teams across multiple facilities within the organization.
Job Details
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS and Hand Therapist certification (CHT), AOTA - Hand/UE certification. Education requirements include a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy with at least 3 years of experience in hand therapy; CA licensure in hand therapy; and experience in outpatient adult hand clinics.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in hand clinic outpatient settings and hospital or community-based outpatient therapy.
- Responsibilities: Providing comprehensive assessments, implementing treatment plans involving manual therapy, orthotics, modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, and biofeedback; patient education; and discharge planning. Candidates should have proficiency in electronic charting systems, particularly Epic.
- Additional Information: Candidates may be asked to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius, including Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront. Prior experience with post-op orthopedic care, acute fractures, and nerve injuries is preferred.
- Submittal Requirements: Candidates must provide two recent references from previous employers, CA licensure, and relevant certifications at the time of application.
