Job Summary:
The WelbeHealth Occupational Therapist Assistant, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, is responsible for assisting with performing tests and providing restorative and rehabilitative Occupational Therapy services to participants at the Center and at home to maximize participant independence and safety and enhance performance of ADLs. The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist Assistant collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth values, team culture, and mission.

Required Qualifications:
 

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant knowledge and skills necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, able to execute tasks in a quickly changing environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Excellent clinical, organizational, and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Commitment to unlocking the full potential of our most vulnerable seniors.


Required Education:
 

  • Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • The qualifying Occupational Therapy Assistant Degree earned outside of the US must be evaluated to the US equivalent to a Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.


Required Certifications & Licensure:
 

  • Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
