Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background.
Details
- Full-time acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM day shift schedule
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- One weekend shift required per month
- No holiday shifts required
- No floating requirements
- Epic EMR is required
Requirements
- Active Illinois OT license required; temp license accepted if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
Additional Information
- Evaluates and treats patients of all ages across a broad range of conditions
- Designs and adjusts individualized plans of care incorporating goals, interventions, outcomes, and discharge planning
- Performs patient screenings and examinations using reliable, evidence-based methods
- Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect functional patient performance
- Provides education and training to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers
- Supervises COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary medical team to communicate patient status, transfer recommendations, and discharge disposition
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have previously worked at a Carle Health location may not exceed 1 continuous year on assignment and must take a 6-month break in service before returning
- Leader interview is part of the candidate selection process
