American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy unit, requiring a Master's degree and 1+ year of experience.

Details

  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy unit setting
  • Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekend coverage as needed with advanced notice
  • No on-call requirements
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required, Doctorate preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Previous IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation) experience preferred
  • Active state Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required (AHA, must not expire prior to start)
  • NBCOT certification preferred
  • QI credentialing preferred
  • Physical ability to perform hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Assess and evaluate patient conditions according to physician orders and current standards of practice
  • Provide direct treatment interventions based on established plans of care
  • Educate and train patients and caregivers
  • Accept caseload assignments and productivity standards from Director or Team Lead
  • May supervise and train students, COTAs, and Aides
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and clinical meetings
  • Document patient status through written chart notes, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries
  • Maintain strong interdisciplinary team relationships
  • Record daily charges per department billing guidelines
  • Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated for at least one year before eligibility for this travel assignment
