**Join Our Team as an Occupational Therapist!** **Job Description:** - Are you passionate about helping others achieve their goals? - As an Occupational Therapist, you will partner with residents and care providers to enhance functional abilities and independence in daily activities. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Promote and embody the mission and values of our organization. - Conduct evaluative and therapeutic procedures under the guidance of a physician or healthcare provider. - Evaluate residents based on established protocols and create personalized therapeutic care plans with both short- and long-term goals. - Provide training in Activities of Daily Living (ADL), assisting with personal hygiene tasks like bathing, dressing, and grooming. - Support residents with mobility, positioning, and transfers, utilizing mechanical lifts and proper body mechanics. - Collaborate with residents and caregivers through electronic medical records (EMR) and in-person interactions to refine therapeutic plans. - Provide consultations to physicians and healthcare team members regarding resident needs and discharge plans, attending all relevant team meetings. - Monitor treatment progress, evaluate effects, and adjust care plans as necessary to align with functional goals. - Document all interactions with residents in the EMR according to department procedures, ensuring accessible and understandable communication. - Recommend and obtain appropriate assistive devices, providing comprehensive instructions for their use. - Educate residents and caregivers, documenting their responses to ensure understanding. - Collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, facilitating excellent resident care. - Comply with Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulations, submitting charges per resident visit. - Supervise Assistant-level staff when appropriate, ensuring adherence to state mandates and professional standards. - Mentorship of new staff during orientation, completing necessary procedures and competencies. - Maintain cleanliness and organization in office and clinical areas, observing all infection control procedures. - Keep licenses, certifications, and competencies current, completing annual compliance courses on time. - Undertake additional duties consistent with the role. **Job Requirements:** - Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. - Responsible, supportive team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Exceptional time management and documentation skills. - Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care. - Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken. **Education and Experience:** - Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred. - Licensed as an OT in the State of PA. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. - Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
